Welcome to Caddo Parish Public Schools

All sites to collect items for flood relief

On Aug. 22-23, all Caddo Parish Public Schools campuses and centers will become collection sites for items needed to support relief efforts due to flooding in south Louisiana.

All citizens are encouraged to drop off donations to their nearest school or district facility between regular school hours. After all items are collected on Monday and Tuesday, district staff will sort donations and transport them to The Salvation Army distribution facility in Baton Rouge.

Among items requested at this time are:

cleaning supplies
masks
gloves
sponges
air freshener
paper towels
garbage bags
air mattresses (especially twin)
hygiene items (soap, deodorant, toilet paper, toothpaste, toothbrushes, shaving cream, etc.)
baby items (diapers, formula, baby powder, bottles, pacifiers, etc.)
toilet paper
blankets
air freshener
non-perishable food items

“No one could have foreseen the tragic devastation we have witnessed in recent days in South Louisiana,” said Dr. Lamar Goree, Superintendent of Caddo Schools. “It is our obligation as Louisianans and also as a system built on the belief of community service that we must do all we can to support our fellow citizens, friends and family in the days, weeks and months ahead.”

Additionally, numerous district campuses are conducting individual drives including the adoption of individual schools in affected areas. To learn more about each school’s efforts, contact your local campus or visit www.caddoschools.org.
