Caddo launches new communications platform to enhance engagement
Today, Caddo Parish Public Schools is introducing a new way for community members to reach district leaders — and for the district to better serve the community. Let’s Talk!, an online community engagement and customer service solution, is now available on the district’s website.
“With a district as large and diverse as Caddo, it’s difficult to feel confident that what we’re hearing is a true reflection of our community’s views,” said Dr. T. Lamar Goree, Superintendent of Caddo Parish Public Schools. “By launching Let’s Talk!, we’ve created an easy, user-friendly way for the community to enter into conversations with district leaders. We want our community to know that we’re listening — and responding — to what they have to say.”
Let’s Talk! enables community members including parents, students, employees or concerned citizens to submit a question, comment, concern, suggestion or compliment 24 hours a day, seven days a week from any computer, tablet or smartphone. Community members can start a conversation by opening the Let’s Talk! pop-out tab or clicking Contact Us at http://www.caddoschools.org
, selecting a topic, and sharing their thoughts. They can download the Let’s Talk! mobile app and enter the district’s ID (CP1537) to access the Caddo Parish Public Schools page.
Submissions may be anonymous, but the district can only provide a direct response to those who leave their contact information. The goal of Let’s Talk! is to build stronger community relationships, identify opportunities for engagement, streamline communication and spot potential crises before they occur, Goree said. It facilitates an open dialogue between district leaders and the community and offers unique features to help the district improve its customer service.
“While our community can still reach us through traditional communication channels, Let’s Talk! provides a way for us to track our responsiveness and for our community to rate our service,” Goree said. “This will help us understand our community’s needs in order for us to better hold ourselves accountable and drive meaningful changes while improving stakeholders’ experiences in our district.”
