The McKinney-Vento Educational Program identifies children and youth and removes any barriers that would prevent them from attending school. Social Service agencies collaborate with the Caddo Parish School Board to develop and implement programs that will enhance the education of McKinney-Vento families.

Living in cars, parks, public spaces, abandoned buildings, substandard housing, bus or train stations or similar settings
"Doubled up" living with friends or family due to the loss of housing, economic hardship, or a similar reason
An "unaccompanied youth", not in the physical custody of a parent or guardian
Migrant children living in these conditions
Academic remediation activities at the schools with the highest concentration of homeless children
Individual and group counseling
School Supplies
Parental involvement through parenting training and educational activities provided at the shelters, and the CPSB Parent Center
