The majority of Caddo Schools will continue virtual instruction Tuesday as water pressure issues persist across much of the Shreveport area following a major water main break.
Because reliable water service is essential for safe school operations, including restroom access, food preparation and sanitation, all Caddo schools will provide virtual instruction Tuesday except for the campuses listed below.
The following campuses will open for in-person instruction Tuesday:
Blanchard Elementary School
Mooringsport Elementary School
North Caddo Elementary/Middle School
Herndon Magnet School
Donnie Bickham Middle School
Northwood High School
North Caddo High School
Teachers and individual schools will communicate directly with students and families regarding expectations.
Lessons will be posted by classroom teachers using their normal mode of communication by 8 a.m. Tuesday. Students may access assignments from any device, including a cell phone. Zearn and Lexia remain available for reading and math learning opportunities through students’ ClassLink accounts. Families may access these resources at https://login.classlink.com/my/caddosd.
Families with questions about assignments or instructions should contact their child’s teacher using the school’s normal communication method. Technical assistance with ClassLink is available at 318-364-1958.
Caddo Schools will continue to monitor the situation closely and provide updates as additional information becomes available. The safety of students and staff remains the district’s top priority.
