Congratulations to our National Merit Scholarship Finalists! These talented high school seniors now have the opportunity to compete for some 7,140 National Merit Scholarships worth nearly $28 million.
To be eligible students must submit a scholarship application, that includes their academic record, participation in school and community activities, leadership abilities, employment, and honors and awards received. They must have an outstanding academic record throughout high school, write an essay, and earn SAT or ACT scores that confirm the student’s earlier performance on the qualifying test. #wearecaddo #BIGdreamsstarthere

MUSIC MONDAY: During our regular Caddo Parish School Board meetings we spotlight students who excel in the arts. This month, we had a vocal performance of "I'm Here" from the Broadway musical The Color Purple by Lacee Smith, a 6th grader at Caddo Middle Magnet.
She is currently a TAP - theater and choir student who was most recently cast as Olaf in Caddo Middle Magnet’s production of Frozen. Her love for the arts extends beyond school as she has been cast in stage productions including The Color Purple, Kinky Boots, Moana, Jr., The Nativity, and The Drum - to name a few. #wearecaddo #BIGdreamsstarthere

The Louisiana Department of Education announced Luka Mikaberidze of Caddo Middle Magnet and Bhavik Kondala of Eden Gardens Fundamental Magnet as finalists for 2024 Louisiana Students of the Year. They will represent Caddo at the state level of competition. #wearecaddo
